Zinfandel/Primitivo
The name Zinfandel was first used in the USA in 1832, however this variety originates from a Croatian variety called Primitivo. Known for its unique raspberry flavour and intense fruit, wines produced using this variety are also seen to be spicy. Palate structure between Zinfandel-made wines can be as diverse as those of Shiraz/Syrah.
