Pinot Noir
Although home in Burgundy, clones of this variety have now been established outside France with great success. Fruits such as raspberry, strawberry, and cherry are seen with the nose and palate. Pinot Noir can range from a light to medium bodied wine with intense colour and flavour, but unfortunately can also produce poor, bland wines with little character.
